light hearted study of the language found down on the
farm. |
ACTIVITY: Farm NZ a Farm Visit featuring
merino sheep, cattle and deer a few colourful local
identities and their trusty working dogs. |

ESOL: History, geography and the modern
gold rush in Central Otago. |
ACTIVITY: A sightseeing tour of some
unique features of the region including orchards, vineyards
a crayfish farm the Clyde dam and the big clock on the
Hill! |

ACTIVITY: Destination Queenstown
an overnight excursion to the adventure tourism capital
of New Zealand. Travel 1 hr by bus to lodge accommodation
before exploring the many attractions of Queenstown
including Skyline Gondola, Kiwi Birdlife Park, Picnic
by the Lake, Restaurant Meal, Bungee Jump, Jet Boating,
Gold Panning, Shopping, Arrowtown Sightseeing. |

FREE DAY: Weekend day spent

ESOL: Language and culture of education
in NZ. |
ACTIVITY: "School Days" an
afternoon spent shadowing a kiwi student in their school
setting. |

ESOL: Maori language, history and cultural
information for afternoon activity. |
ACTIVITY: "Tangata whenua"
hosted by Dunstan High School Maori studies students
and whanau an afternoon spent engaged in cultural
activities including poi, weaving etc... |

ESOL: Town and Around. Extended conversational
English in preperation for Dunedin trip. |
ACTIVITY: Local Shopping and language
task for retail, directions, traffic safety, emergency.

ACTIVITY: "City Lights,
Coastal Sights" a three day expedition to the
southern city of Dunedin. Day One: Travel by bus to
Dunedin, your choice of backpacker, lodge or hotel accommodation.
Day One enjoy a city highlights tour including Otago
Early Settlers Museum, Cadbury World Chocolate Tour,
Shopping on George St. |

Day Two: discover the natural
wonders of the Dunedin Peninsular and its rich coastline
including Taioroa Head Albatross Colony, Yellow-eyed
Penguin Colony, Portobello Marine Aquarium, and Larnachs
Castle. |

Day Three: Campus Visits
University of Otago, Otago Polytechnic. Monarch Harbour
cruise see the city and wildlife in a 1.5hr picnic cruise.

Weekend day
spent with host family.

as retirement homes, hospitals, emergency services etc... |
