Our Philosophy

Our programmes always offer a range of activities to suit varied levels of the required skill, physical fitness and adventurousness.

Our Philosophy

Our “learning adventure” programmes are based on the belief that real learning occurs best when students enjoy learning, experience a range of teaching styles focused on interaction and learning through doing and are encouraged to set goals for achievement and then work hard to achieve their aims.

We do not push students into attempting any activity or challenge they are not comfortable with. However, we do encourage students to explore their comfort zones and push their boundaries so that they become more comfortable with setting themselves new and greater challenges in education and in life. Our activity programme always offers a range of activities to suit varied levels of the required skill, physical fitness and adventurousness.

Our 100% Commitment

Our learning adventure programmes are high quality learning experiences. They have a predominantly educational focus and are strictly quality managed in line with current educational guidelines in NZ schools and the industry standards set by various outdoor education bodies. Our 100% commitment means that you have the following assurances:

  • A 100% commitment to safety.
All programmes are managed to the safety standards set in the national guidelines for schools in the New Zealand education system and the standards set by the relevant industry body for a given activity.
  • A 100% commitment to meeting your desired learning outcomes.
All programmes are directed towards a set of agreed learning outcomes. Students progress is monitored and evaluated. The results of which are communicated to the students, parents and other relevant institutions or agencies.
  • A 100% commitment to student welfare.
A student’s sense of wellbeing is a critical success factor to their learning and enjoyment of their experience. We are 100% committed to the individual needs of students away from home especially when they are in a large group. We provide a high level of support and guidance and quality pastoral care and homestay monitoring.

Our quality management process are governed by the requirements of the following government regulatory bodies in New Zealand. Tititea Enterprises Trust aims to meet or exceed the expectations of these requirement, and has quality management systems in place to monitor our performance against them.
