What We Do
"Whaia te iti kahurangi, ki te tuoho koe he maunga tetitei - Seek the treasures of your heart, if you should bow your head, let it be to a lofty mountain"
At Learning Adventures Levin we promote an inclusive environment that includes all parents, whanau, families and caregivers to contribute to their tamariki learning. We want our tamariki to develop confidence, independence and self-help skills. We value relationships that are based on trust, mutual respect and a shared understanding of how tamariki grow. Tamariki learn about co-constructing and how to work collaboratively in their centre environment (Whanaungatanga). Kaiako support and advocate the understanding of Te Ao Maori through the use of the environment as a third teacher. Tamariki are encouraged and supported to develop an understanding and respect for Papatuanuku, Ranginui and their offspring. (Tangata Whenua). We will develop reciprocal relationships in our Levin community with local health providers, schools/kura, other ECE providers and Marae. Ako underpins all teaching and learning within the centre. Tamariki are inspired to be their own learners, make their own decisions and choose their own paths. Their environment is designed to support and promote their holistic wellbeing through interactions, relationships and with kaiako and respect for each other.
