Our philosophy supports the practice of receiving teachers, ensuring strong, nurturing relationships throughout the centre. We strongly believe that supporting these attachment relationships helps build emotionally robust, secure confident learners. To this end we are proud to have receiving teachers for all transitions to and within our centre welcoming children into our centre family.
To support community involvement and physical education, we participate in ‘Playball’ and ‘Kids Zumba’ classes within the Centre. We are leading visits to the library and the museum to extend and broaden children’s knowledge of the wider world. Our Centre encourages children to be involved with our weekly baking at Centre to support a range of life long skills that will help develop them into confident lifelong learners.
The Education Review Office (ERO) is the New Zealand government department that evaluates and reports on the education and care of students in schools and early childhood services. ERO’s reports are used by parents, teachers, early childhood education managers, school principals and trustees, and by government policy makers.
Early childhood services are reviewed on average once every three years. Reviews will be more frequent where the performance of a school or centre is poor and there are risks to the education and safety of the students, or less frequent where a school has a stable reporting history and demonstrates good self-review processes and use of its assessment information. You can read our centre’s ERO review here.

My son has been going to Learning Adventures Mangorei now for 2 years.
They staff have been incredible with settling him in each day and making him feel apart of the great family atmosphere that they have.
He has multiple food allergies so this been a great learning curve for the centre to accommodate him. They are amazing, finding different brands of foods that I have suggested to bring into the centre so that he can eat similar foods to the rest of the children and not feel left out.
There is always fantastic activities around the place inside and out to do so this caters for all different children’s interests.
I’m always informed of changes or important events happening at the centre which is great as a parent to know what your child is doing when you are not there.
I highly recommend the centre to anybody looking for child care.
My children love Mangorei early learning centre. The management and staff are passionate about their work, they are very kind and caring. They are very helpful with giving ideas and tips on how to manage different behaviours that we can experience at home.
The facilities are great and they have fun learning themes throughout the year that the children really embrace. There are many daily activities for the children to choose from. My children love it so much that they are very reluctant to leave most days.
