Our Story

Welcome to our wonderful centre!

While your child is here at Learning Adventures Henderson they will experience an amazing centre environment with lots of space to learn and explore. Our inside spaces provide a variety of engaging experiences for the tamariki (children) to explore and build upon their interests and skills. With quieter spaces to enjoy a story or try out a puzzle and relax, as well as dancing areas, natural resources and plenty of art opportunities every day to encourage each child’s creative expression and personality to shine, we are sure your child is bound to find a place they can spend their time in and enjoy.

We are very lucky to have an incredible outside area with huge sandpits and climbing obstacle courses as well as a great open space to run, ride bikes and be free to use their imagination. We also have a number of trees and bushes in our outdoors, making this feel even more like home and unearthing many opportunities to discover insects and notice and be part of weather changes throughout the year.

As a team we are striving towards gaining a Gold Healthy Heart Award, showing our belief that all tamariki deserve to be supported in a healthy lifestyle from a very young age. This is supported by our wonderful cook and her fantastic healthy menu with a variety of options for tamariki with different needs and allergies, as well as our kaiako (teachers) getting active and stimulating our tamariki with interesting games and strategies to promote using their energy in a positive way.

With a wonderfully exciting and safe environment for your tamariki to enjoy and make their second home, we all look forward to seeing you for a visit and showing you and your tamariki how much love and fun they can have at Learning Adventures Henderson.

ERO Report

The Education Review Office (ERO) is the New Zealand government department that evaluates and reports on the education and care of students in schools and early childhood services. ERO’s reports are used by parents, teachers, early childhood education managers, school principals and trustees, and by government policy makers.

Early childhood services are reviewed on average once every three years. Reviews will be more frequent where the performance of a school or centre is poor and there are risks to the education and safety of the students, or less frequent where a school has a stable reporting history and demonstrates good self-review processes and use of its assessment information.

You can read our centre’s ERO review here.
